Steed is investigating a leak of classified NATO secrets, and the trail leads him to the nightclub where he found employment for Venus. He learns that Venus is an old friend of the daughter of the man he is investigating: the wheelchair-bound General Sutherland. After the two assistants to the nightclub’s stage magician are both murdered in a disappearing cabinet, the general is cured by a faith healer and his magic boxes. Steed suspects that the two events share a connection…
