|'A Chorus of Frogs'
by Martin Woodhouse
While on holiday in Greece, Steed is asked to investigate the mysterious death of a Greek deep-sea diver and part-time smuggler, who died from the bends. Steed discovers that the diver was a member of an elite group of divers called ‘The Frogs’, who are currently aboard an ocean liner in the Mediterranean. Steed stows away on the liner, and promptly meets up with Venus Smith, who just happens to be performing on the cruise ship. He also encounters a strange scientist and his laboratory, a whip-cracking woman from China, the hot-headed girlfriend of the dead diver, and the dead man’s brother - who is also trying to solve the mystery of the death. They soon discover that the death was the result of a bathyscaphe experiment, and unfortunately, the perpetrators will stop at nothing to guard their secret…
