While attending an important reception, Adam complements the wife of the Italian Vice Consul on her dress - only to witnesses her inexplicable death immediately after. When Adam, Simms and Georgina discover five similar deaths ocurred in recent weeks, Adam decides to pay a visit to the Italian embassy. Here Adam is knocked out by a fashion model sent to recover the dress, but Georgina manages to tear off some of the material; the label points them to Roger Clair, whose deadly dresses also contain bugging devices.
