1999 Cast

Moonbase Alpha is visited by Magus, a tall, saintly figure who introduces himself as the creator of all life on Earth. Magus is disappointed with how mankind has squandered and polluted all the resources at his disposal, but he is willing to offer a second chance - a new Earth where everything can begin again. He invites the Alphans to this New Eden and transports Commander Koenig, Doctor Russell, Maya and Verdeschi to the surface of the world. However, once there they discover that Magus wants them to be his new Adams and Eves, in order to create a new human species, but for biological reasons he wishes Helena to be Verdeschi’s mate and Maya to be Koenig’s. When the four Alphans resist, Magus weaves a spell of romance which brings them together; however, they escape Magus’ imprisonment and find a cave with bizarre, mutated creatures that are the results of his attempts to learn the secret of creation. It seems that Magus is the last of a race of cosmic magicians - and he will destroy the Moon if the Alphans refuse to co-operate with his plans…
