Meanwhile, Commander Koenig and Carter discover a geodetic structure, and after uncovering some solar cells, decide to open the construct once the power has recharged. They are attacked by Verdeschi but he suddenly collapses; seeing that he is dangerously ill, Koenig and Carter attempt to return him to Alpha, but then every piece of metal aboard the Eagle inexplicably begins to corrode, and they are forced to make a crash-landing back on the surface of the planet. Three members of the survey team are poisoned by water that was pure only minutes before; it seems that a dramatic change in the planet's atmosphere is occurring, a massive build-up of poisonous elements which has been triggered by the arrival of the Alphans. Koenig and Carter enter the structure and discover a holographic message from an alien named Zoran, last survivor of a survey team that suffered a fate similar to the one that now faces the Alphans; Zoran tells them that the planet is inhabited by an immortal being who wishes to communicate with other lifeforms - but its communication methods always prove fatal. Koenig realises that in order to escape the deadly planet, he must somehow find a way to make contact with the creature&

Martin Landau (Commander John Koenig), Barbara Bain (Doctor Helena Russell), Catherine Schell (Maya), Tony Anholt (Tony Verdeschi), Nick Tate (Captain Alan Carter), John Hug (Bill Fraser), Nadim Sawalha (Zoran), Karl Held (Gerry Travers), Sam Dastor (Doctor Ed Spencer), Alibe Parsons (Alibe), Hal Galili (Voice), Walter McMonagle (Les Johnson), Roy Boyd (Joe Lustig)

Directed by Bob Brooks
Produced by Fred Freiberger
Series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson

TX:
UK (LWT):
October 29th, 1977

Notes:
*Featuring Commander John Koenig, Doctor Helena Russell, Maya, Tony Verdeschi, Captain Alan Carter and Bill Fraser

*Working title: The Face of Eden
