Commander Koenig suspects that Jackie's inexplicable development is linked to the death of his father, who was a technician in Moonbase Alpha s nuclear generating plant. After Jackie draws a picture of a highly detailed spaceship, four such vessels appear over Alpha, hovering menacingly above the base. Jackie grows into a mature adult and reveals that he is Jarak, one of a number of alien travellers who seek physical forms in which to conceal their identities in order to escape their homeworld s strictly imposed genetic conformity. After Cynthia dies and is reborn as Rena, it becomes apparent that the rest of the aliens intend to take over the bodies of Alpha s personnel - only possible at the moments of birth and death...

Martin Landau (Commander John Koenig), Barbara Bain (Doctor Helena Russell), Barry Morse (Professor Victor Bergman), Prentis Hancock (Paul Morrow), Nick Tate (Captain Alan Carter), Zienia Merton (Sandra Benes), Clifton Jones (David Kano), Anton Phillips (Doctor Bob Mathias), Suzanne Roquette (Tanya Alexander), Julian Glover (Jarak), Cyd Hayman (Sue Crawford / Rena), Wayne Brooks (Jackie Crawford), Rula Lenska (Joan Conway), James Fagan (Ken Johnson), Loftus Burton, Sarah Bullen, Andrew Dempsey, Raymond Harris, Michael Stevens, Maureen Tan (Main Mission Operatives), Tony Allyn, Quentin Pierre (Security Guards), Vincent Wong (Medic)

Directed by Ray Austin
Produced by Sylvia Anderson
Series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson

TX:
UK (ATV Midlands):
October 16th, 1975

Notes:
*Featuring Commander John Koenig, Doctor Helena Russell, Professor Victor Bergman, Paul Morrow, Captain Alan Carter, David Kano, Sandra Benes and Doctor Bob Mathias

*The original script was written by Edward di Lorenzo, but then re-written by Christopher Penfold
